Amazing Humans With Real Super Power

What would you do if you had a real life super power? Before you start designing your costume and preparing to embark on vigilante justice, take a look at these amazing humans and how they live with their real superpower. These are some of the amazing humans with real superpowers.

Super Running Man
Going to the gym or running for long periods of time is pretty overwhelming for most people. But Dean Karnazes has super human endurance. He has run 350 miles from running on a treadmill for 80 hours non-stop. He also ran 50 marathons in all 50 states 50 days in a row. Doctors and scientists have concluded that if he was well fed and hydrated, Karnazes could actually go at a constant pace between seven and ten miles per hour for the rest of his life and be just fine.

Super Reflexes
Isao Machi has wowed audiences all over the world with his superhuman like reflexes. Instead of taking excellent aim, Machi can anticipate the movement of an item in the air and pick it out with almost god-like accuracy. One of his most popular stunts was chopping up airsoft pellets, which can move 550 feet per second. He even uses a katana for his stunts just for a little extra wow factor.

Magnet man
Liew Thow Lin recently realized that you can stick metallic objects to his body. Doctors discovered that his skin has a high amount of friction and creates a suction like effect to the metallic objects, and he actually is in a large human magnet. But this hasn’t stopped Lin for making appearances at charity events showing off this talent and even pulled a car using his ability.

Super Reader
Anne Jones is a super reader who can read over 4,700 words per minute and a six-time world champion in speed reading. The crucial point to know is that not only can she read fast, but she can comprehend and retain what she read at a 67% accuracy. The average human can read 220-300 words per minute, so Jones’ superpower really is one-of-a-kind. Today, she has her own speed reading courses so that she can share her talent with others.

Eye Man
Claudio Pinto has a superpower that haunts our nightmares and probably inspired a few horror films. He has the ability to pop his eyes out of their sockets at ninety-five percent. And that last 5% is probably just the nerves and muscles holding his eyes into his body. Pinto isn’t the only one who has this terrifying talent, as Jalisa Thompson has also become quite famous for having the same power.

Teeth of Steal
Hailing from Malaysia, Rathakrishnan Velu has been dubbed as the man who has teeth made of steel. He has pulled weight of over 200 tons using only his teeth, and he gained his talent at the young age of 14 after he was taught to channel all of his energy into just one place. One of his most amazing stances included pulling a freight train using only his teeth. And as far as dentistry goes, his teeth are still in pretty good condition.

The Human-Computer
Shakuntala Devi is known as the human-computer due to the fact that she can solve complex math problems in her head within a matter of seconds. She landed in the Guinness Book of World Records in1982 after she multiplied two 13 digit numbers and solve it in under 28 seconds. David Tammet is another individual who has the ability to solve math problems in his head in a short amount of time making him the second human-computer.

Super Vision
Veronica Seider has the ability to see little things in fine detail over a mile away. Which is something the average human can barely do it just 20 feet away. The German dentist has a visual acuity of 20/2 and she can also see the tiny colors that make up the picture on television sets making it so she has telescopic vision.

The Human Owl
Born in 1886, Martin Laurello made headlines around the world and sold-out performance spaces all over with it’s amazing super power of being able to turn his head at 180 degrees. Before you get on the holy water, know that no demons were involved in this talent. Martin Laurello practice for years and even learn how to dislocate various vertebrae in order to make this amazing talent happen.

The Human Dolphin
Stig Severinsen is known as the human dolphin. He’s a Danish free diver is able to hold his breath longer than any other person on the planet. Severinsen holds multiple World Records for his talent and it’s even started his own business and teaching others how to change their lives with their breathing. He combined his knowledge of yoga and it’s free diving exploits to create his method and is able to withhold breathing for several minutes.

Monopoly Behind Your Favorite Brand of Glasses

We have a number of new styles to show you .So many styles how do I choose that flirty, classic, great fashionable, daring dude. Actually all these frames are exactly the same. I’m sorry she’s a contact person she doesn’t understand us. These are clearly different brands no they’re not. Think about this for a second even the most basic pair of glasses can cost around four hundred dollars that’s as much as my phone. Haven’t you ever wondered why a simple piece of plastic it’s the same price as this miracle of technology.

trommel fines

Eighty percent of glasses and sunglasses brands are controlled by a single company. Luxottica but that will give them a virtual monopoly over the entire industry because they control both the luxury brands and the chief brands they can charge whatever they want for.

trommel fines

I’m not seeing this I’m sorry you have to, Luxottica uses that power to drive up the price of glasses for everybody. Sometimes charging as much as 20 times what the cost to produce and it’s not just prescription glasses. Radians used to be bargain mass-market sunglasses worn by everyone from jasmine to president to president to jazzman’s. In 1999  Luxottica bought the brand and raised the price to over a hundred and fifty dollars a pair. Maybe they’re five times better at banning raise now. Seventy percent of Luxittica’s brands come from the exact same factory. Luxottica also owns almost all the major glasses stores too including lenscrafters, pearl vision, gears optical, target optical and sunglass hat which means that the few brands that they don’t own are forced to obey their demands. When Oakley charge to dispute Luxottoca honest pricing Luxottica retaliated by dropping them from all their stores. Oakley stock price collapse and Luxottica swooped in and brought them out. Luxottica has so much power that when a company didn’t play by their rules they brought them to the brink of destruction then took over that company.

trommel fines

For seventy-five percent of Americans classes are a medical necessity to bad Luxottica also owns the second-largest eye insurance company in America that means it’s possible for your optometrist, your insurance company, the factory that makes your frames and the store that sells them to you to all be owned by the same company. The fact is most of these glasses could just be labeled Luxottica but they’re not because what Luxottica is really selling you is the illusion of choice.

History Of Jaywalking

Here’s the story of how the car took over the American Street. A century ago the city street was a public place that was open to everyone. It was shared by pedestrians, horses and weird old-timey bicyclist to like not to mention streetcars that took people to work but when the car was invented people started driving them at top speed through the crowded streets and the results weren’t pretty.

trommel fines

That’s what happens once motorcar strikes a peasant. Naturally everyone blamed the new invention for the carnage. Seventh kid mashed by a metal death machine this week. Maybe these things shouldn’t be allowed. Public outcry grew some cities even discussed passing laws against them. We propose that the streets not be filled with these high-speed 2 ton metal projectiles. They’re killing us out there well technically we’re killing them. We got to fight this thing I got it will tell them the streets are for cars only and if a car kills you: it’s your own fault.

trommel fines

I will give the folks that walk in the street a really humiliating nickname what about Irish walker and pretty cruel but we can do better I got it. Jaywalk you disgust me and I love it too. It doesn’t mean much to us now but back then Jay was a really offensive slur.

trommerl-fines-4

To publicize the new insult the auto industry actually planted stories and newspapers blaming pedestrians for automobile death. Today Jaywalking is a crime and in fact most of our modern traffic safety culture descends from this kind of blame shifting propaganda. Think about it a group of private businessman coined and offensive slur to promote their product and it worked so well that today it’s a legal term. That’s like if the trashcan industry convince us all to call littering a good thing. As a result of this campaign the street went from being a public place where everyone was welcome to a terrifying off-limits death trap. Stay back couple streets belong to the machines now.

Why Funeral Is Such A Money Drainer

The concept of “last words” is as silly as the rest of this. Wait, are you trying to ruin funerals? This is how people grieve. Yeah. Which is why it’s so tragic that the American funeral industry needlessly exploits that grief for profit. Case in point the expensive and useless process of embalming which was popularized during the civil war. After Lincoln was assassinated, the government paraded his corpse around the country in order to showcase the hero’s sacrifice. but, that’s not what the people took away from it. Oh my gosh, Abe has been dead for weeks and he still looks fly as hell. Honestly, anyone who is anyone gets pumped full of chemicals. But for those of us whose bodies aren’t going on tour, embalming is totally pointless. Why would you need to be preserved right before they bury you in the dirt? Isn’t the whole point to decompose? Embalming gives dignity to the deceased. Yes, it’s respectful. -“Respectful?” What do you think embalming is? It’s like a spa day! for a dead body. Exactly!

trommel fines

Embalming is the least respectful thing you can do to a body. First: the jaw is wired shut; the eyes are sealed with glue. Then, the internal organs are punctured and drained through a hole in the abdomen. After that, they pump the arteries full of formaldehyde and stuff the internal cavities full of cotton. I don’t want to puke in front of a dead body. Fair enough. But the entire process is a pointless waste of time. Because even though funeral directors tell their vulnerable, grieving customers, Embalming is necessary if you want an open casket and it keeps the body safe and sanitary. None of it is true. Refrigeration is cheaper and just as effective as embalming and the World Health Organization states that dead bodies pose nearly no health risks to the living. It’s completely safe to touch them.

trommel fines

Which is ironic because formaldehyde isn’t safe. It’s a carcinogen. Why do I still do this? Just one reason these guys charge a graveload of money to do it. Let’s not talk about the body so much, let’s talk about how beautiful this casket is. Yeah, it better be beautiful. It’s one of the most expensive things you’ll ever buy. Funeral homes can charge upwards of grand for a coffin. The lid is titanium-steel. It’s lined with mink fur and it comes with free WiFi. It’s what pa-pop would’ve wanted. Do you have any cheaper options? Well, for those who don’t love their pa-pop, we do have this “My Loved One Deserved to Die” model. You will need to decide quickly, the funeral is tomorrow.

trommel fines

You might as well be buried with thousand dollars in cash. Well, it’s nice to support local businesses. Actually, a lot of local funeral homes are owned by a megacorporation named SCI that buys up mom-and-pop shops but keeps the old name so no one notices. They really are a cash cow. They can’t make that much money. Well, maybe you’ll believe SCI treasurer Aaron Foley who told investors We really are a cash cow. Because you didn’t confront your mortality and decide how you’d want to be buried while you were still alive, you will probably bankrupt getting you a regular funeral.

Technology The Creates Virtual Copy

Every day we as humans are integrating more and more with the technology around us with the digital world it’s incredible but what we’re finding is that we’re starting to blow this line between virtual in reality. I think it’s a pretty interesting thing because as we integrate more with this technology around us we’re starting to find new ways to allow it to augment us. Now we will all find ourselves somewhere along this continuum between the real world as we know it in the virtual world and we’re going to be moving into that future very quickly you don’t currently find yourself telling your friends about the other day when you were walking around a couple of social media sites and you grab some mates from the other side of the world inside in the online store was one of them for on some virtual clouds but the world is changing very very quickly and so we need to keep up with that we need to raise the conversations as to what we could potentially achieve.

seo northern ireland

Now in the late eighties early nineties there was this rise of virtual reality we had these headsets my dad got me to try these on these headsets that would give you an incredible headache and it’s basically like strapping a TV to your face but you can look around and what happens then is it makes it very immersive. Now back then it wasn’t the right time and it was overshadowed by the rise of the Internet but we could still say even then that there was a future for this technology. So over the last  years I’ve been working in technologies that can augment us and most of my work has been in disability. I’ve worked on a smart wheelchair for my PhD in 2012 and this smart wheelchair was allowing you to a person who needed it I mostly worked in disability on communication liability in connection but this allowed you to control the wheelchair read the mind and will check with seen think for itself like a robot so I had robotics and artificial intelligence in there as well.

seo northern ireland

Now what’s really interesting is the camera that you can see on the front the yellow camera that’s a stereoscopic vision system now what it has is two cameras that act just like our own eyes they take two different images put them on top of each other and with that just like we can see in three dimensions it can project those pixels into the third dimension giving it a third ordinate and allowing a very low quality three-dimensional photo. Now this is something I found on the front of  via the laptop of the wheelchair I found this the other day from 2008 I have no idea what I was doing here but that’s me. I think I’m holding some recycling boxes but what you can see there is you can rotate three dimensional space because 3D point cloud so all these pixels reside in three-dimensional space. Now that was very interesting but the technology itself has actually advance a lot since then. Now the rise of virtual reality came back again in 2012 with the oculus rift has anyone heard of this great. Okay this is good so we’re on board with this that’s about half the crowd by the way of what I just saw. Now when I first tried the oculus rift I put this device on my head and like the TV being strapped to the face it was a lot better than it used to be much much better. What I found was I found myself in a virtual apartment and I was watching a virtual TV and on this TV there was a music video.

Now I’ve got really immersed in it and then I started to realize when it finished that are still sitting in a virtual apartment and then I took the device off back to the real world but the interesting thing was I remember this as if it was a memory as if I had experienced it and that’s when it when I realized it was so incredibly powerful. So with that type of power in that sort of technology combined with the 3D point clouds from it made me realize that we are standing at the verge of a massive technological revolution we could potentially realize certain ideas as wacky as they are certain ideas like being able to create a virtual copy of ourselves and I started thinking about that I thought this would be amazing if we could create a virtual copy what we need is a 3d but volumetric recording volumetric capture of a human and so this would be a very realistic shell we give it a virtual skeleton so that it can move and that the computer can control it through the programs then we get artificial intelligence but not the general time you don’t need to have a very advanced general artificial intelligence to allow it to learn everything and go on to continue to learn you don’t need that you just need an artificial intelligence that will learn specifics about the person being copied things like their gestures their mannerisms the things that make us so that the person can spend a lot of time with the system so the system can learn what that part what makes up that person and then of course you’re going to need are some voice in four sizes that are very natural so that the system can speak on their behalf but what it will actually do is capture that person caught in a moment in space and time so it’s kind of like we could revisit these virtual copies and have natural conversations with them which is very intriguing because if we were able to copy some of the most influential positive change makers in this world what if we had Stephen Hawking or alien mask able to be copied so that people could go and meet them in the virtual world or even bring them into the real world through augmented reality is something that was very interesting but bringing it back to a personal level I started to realize that I wanted to see how it could affect us even more emotionally starting to think about what would happen if this was a family member that we could preserve.

What we have here is a picture of myself when I was a baby with my grandfather now he sounded like it absolutely lovely man an amazing person and are very much love to meet him unfortunately he passed away when I was just before I was too and he never got to meet my lovely wonderful triplet siblings for three and a half years younger than me. So if this idea this concept existed in the past I would absolutely want to be able to meet a virtual copy of my grandfather and be able to speak with in to be able to interact with him because I would get a better idea of who he was but I want to talk to my mom about this because I had no idea how to gauge this idea that I had so I spoke to my mom and I said what would what would you think if I was say you know the technology is not what not available now but wasn’t back then either what would you say if I could have brought back your grandfather and with tears in her eyes she said I don’t think I want that because I would be constantly reliving the loss and I started to realize this idea is actually very different it’s very important to recognize this there’s challenges and opportunities with every new technological development.

seo northern ireland

So as much as I would love it my mom would have a different approach and that reason is because our prior relationship with the person being copied will affect the response that we have. Having said that it would be the best thing for me if I was able to make my grandfather so if we take it to an even more personal level what if we could copy ourselves throughout time and be able to go back and revisit ourselves in the past and really understand the sort of Dreams the visions that we had did you ever have those big ideas to do so much for the world what would happen if you apply yourself were saying how are you going with that I think it’s incredibly powerful. What would you say to your previous self and what was your part of say to you now.  I really would like to show you something that we’ve been working on so this is an amazing collaboration that we’ve had from my guys at Psy Kinetic and the brilliant people that humans to bring together. This little demo and you can see the work that’s gone into it. Now wait so you guys can see what I can see let me know when you can see my little virtual stage.

Now how would you respond, think about it for a moment how would you respond if you found yourself face-to-face with yourself. It’s incredibly weird and really sick that I am currently walking around a virtual version of me now if this wasn’t you if this wasn’t your own copy. Here’s another interesting thing the amazing response that we can have from this in terms of empathy think about what would happen if you can step directly into someone else’s shoes and see through their eyes. I’m currently writing something different now. This was just a glimpse of what we could potentially go on to achieve but the exciting thing about this is whenever we have these massive technological advances the exciting thing is that it makes us realize it makes us reflect what it means to be human. It makes us reflect on ourselves and at the core of humanity is empathy and connection. So if you had a copy of you floating around potentially having conversations with people I want you to think about it what sort of stories would you tell what sort of vision and values would you share and what sort of legacies would you like to leave for future generations.

A Cavity Sliding Door – Easy DIY

I’m going to show how to install a cavity sliding door. There are great to use in small rooms where you don’t have room for a swinging door. The tools required for this job are the sliding cavity unit itself, a hand saw, a finishing gun, you’ll need a drill and drill bits, a phillips head and a flat head screwdriver, a pencil for marking, you need a level and a square, you need a tape measure, a hammer, a chisel, and of course your safety equipment.

trommel fines

Before we get started, I’d like to just point out that we are putting this into an empty stud wall. If you have already got plaster walls, you obviously going to have to cut away the plaster. Usually you’d do this laying the door on the ground, but because of the confined space that we’re in, I need to do it from a ladder standing above the door. So first, I’m going to take the sliding track. I’m going to knock out the spacer at the top of the door and I’m going to insert the track into the cavity, and then I’m going to screw the track to the frame.

Now that the tracks secured to the top of the frame, I’m going to put two nails down into the uprights on this end. We’re going to then put the other piece of the frame into the track, square it up, and put two nails through that end to hold it in place. So now that the frame’s together, all that’s left to do is pop it in the stud wall and see if it fits. We just need to make sure that it’s flush to the outside of this stud wall, so when you put the plaster on, there’s no bulging in the wall.

trommel fines

Now that the frame’s flush to the stud wall, we’re going to fix it in place with a nail gun. When you’re fixing this side, it’s important to leave a  mil gap in front of this stud, so that when you put the plaster on the wall, it will be flushed with the outside of the frame and then your arc will just sit nicely over the top. To keep the door straight, we’re going to pack out behind the door in this gap, which will stop the movement, so when the door closes, there’s no gap between the frame and the door. To do that, we’re going to use masonite packers, we’re going to snap them to the length of the stud, and we’re going to pack out. To find my measurement for the packers, I’m going to use one of the other studs, hold the packer up against it, put my finger there, and then snap the packer so it’s not going to stick out on either side. That way when we put the packers in, it fits nice and flush inside the frame. Now we’re going to pack out the frame using a Masonite packers.

We just need to make sure that the front of the frame is level, so your door’s not on an angle when you close it. Remembering that the front of your frame needs to be 10 mil out from your stud to allow for the plaster. We’ll do this a couple more times so that we’ve got support at both the top and the bottom as well as through the middle. Okay. So now we are going to attach the roller base plates to the door. They’re going to attach to the top of the door, and they go 80 mil from the end of the door, and they sit in the center of the door. So we’re going to fix them now. Set the square to 80 mil, and then mark out where the base plate needs to go. Now that we’ve marked, we’re going to fix the base plates to the center of the door. So I’ve put both base plates on, they’re both exactly the same distance from the edge of the door, one at each end of the door. Usually these rollers are fitted up inside the track at the top of the door, but just to show you how they fit, I’m going to do it on the door as it is. So you take your roller, and you use the pin at the end, you slide it into the base plate, like so, and then you use locking pin on the side to hold the roller in place.

trommel fines

Now I’m going to put the roller back into the sliding cavity, and we’ll fit the door as it will be in the cavity. Now that the roller and the base plates are attached and they’re in the track and the door can slide, the last thing to do is adjust the height and the plumb of the door using the spanner provided. The last part of the process is to put the door guides on, so the door can slide evenly in and out of the cavity in it without hitting the sides. So you can see that the guide for the door is angled. The thick part of the guide sits on the floor, and it angles itself up to fit on the bottom of the door. So the guide sits right at the base touching the floor, and then you fix it in place on both sides. I’m just going to do the exact same thing, just on the other side of the door. Now the door’s fully installed and it can slide freely. The last thing left to do is get the plasters to come in, plaster all of the walls, and then we just put the cover strip up at the front to hide all of the rollers behind. And that’s it, job done.

Wrong Facts About Vitamins

Vitamins are the key to health and perhaps the cure for the common colds. Now how many of you have ever heard of vitamin megadoses? Vitamin supplements don’t cure colds, they don’t prolong your life, and in some cases they may actually be harmful. So, what are vitamins?  Huge pills that smell like old olives?: Candy that’s shaped like cartoon characters. You’re both thinking of vitamin supplements. What are the vitamins themselves? Little bits of goop that your body needs. Exactly, they’re a collection of various micronutrients that are essential for your body to function normally.  Yes! So vitamins make us healthy, except that by definition vitamins are nutrients we only need a tiny little bit of, and normally we get plenty of them from the food we eat. But what if I contract scurvy? You won’t, scurvy is caused by an extreme lack of vitamin C. Pirates used to get it because they ate nothing but hardtack biscuits for months. But if you eat normal food, in normal quantities you’ll be fine. Like, just eat a lemon ever.

trommel fines

But getting more vitamins is even better.  No it isn’t, Vitamins are sorta like cats, if you have no cats you’ll be lonely, if you have a cat or two you’ll feel better, but that’s enough cats. No one needs to load up on cats and just like with cats you don’t want to overdo it. Studies show that taking too much of some vitamins like A, D, or E can actually make you sick.  Vitamin C does not treat or cure the common cold, and products that claim it does are nonsense. Remember Airborne?  Sure, the cold medicine created by a school teacher. It keeps you from getting colds from touching the magazines on airplanes.  That is not true.  Airborne is a cocktail of plain old vitamins that was marketed as a cure for the common cold but in 2006 they were sued for false advertising and ended up paying out  million dollars. Airborne doesn’t cure anything, it’s basically just bubbles. But when I take vitamin C it makes me feel better, yes the placebo effect is very powerful but that’s all it is.

tromeel fines

In reality, at least different studies have concluded that vitamin C does not treat the common cold. Hey, it’s not my fault everyone believes vitamins are magic, its Linus Pauling’s fault.  Linus Pauling was a genius chemist and the only person in history to be awarded two solo Nobel prizes. He was one of America’s true scientific celebrities. In early 70’s Pauling became obsessed with the idea of living forever and basically went vitamin crazy.

He began claiming that massive doses of vitamin C could prevent the common cold, prolong your life, and even cure cancer. and because he was a celebrity scientist the media trusted him. So these vita-pills will cure my sniffles? That’s right, and gets this, you’ll also never get sick or die. Sounds pretty far out, but if the smartest cat in America’s saying’ it, it must be true.

trommel fines

But repeated studies have proven that Pauling was totally wrong. There is no medical basis for his claims and   he actually died of cancer, the very disease he claimed vitamins would cure. You’re telling me that vitamin supplements are a lie and we only believe in them because one man went crazy? Yeah, Pauling was the Michael Jackson of nutrition. He totally changed the game, we had no idea how crazy he was, and years later we’re still humming’ the tunes.
